Jon Scahill, Chief Executive Officer
Jon Scahill has been president and chief executive officer since January 2014, and a director since 2007. He was appointed secretary in April 2014. He also served as president and chief operating officer from May 2007 to December 2013. From December 2006 to May 2007, Mr. Scahill was founder and managing director of the Urban-Rigney Group, LLC, a private consultancy specializing in new business/new venture development, operations optimization, and strategic analysis. Prior to launching his consultancy business, Mr. Scahill held numerous positions in sales and marketing, technical management, and product development in the consumer products/flexible packaging arena. Mr. Scahill holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester, a MBA from Rochester's Simon Graduate School of Business, and a JD from Pace University Law School. Mr. Scahill is a registered patent attorney admitted to practice in New York, Florida, the District of Columbia and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Tim Scahill, Chief Technology Officer
Timothy Scahill has been our chief technology officer since 2007. Mr. Scahill recently completed a merger and buyout of Managed Services Team LLC, an IT Managed Services provider. Prior to Managed Services Team, he was president of Layer 8 Group, Inc. from August 2005 to December 2012, at which time Layer 8 merged with Structured Technologies Inc. to form Managed Services Team LLC. In his roles he had taken the responsibility for business strategy, acquisition, execution, as well as financial management. His entrepreneurial acumen and proven record of successful management with sole discretionary responsibility, demonstrate the scope of his capability and his value to delivering results. He successfully completed his term on the boards of the Upstate New York Technology Council and Pariemus Rochester. Mr Scahill completed a six year term as Secretary, Executive Council and a Board of Directors seat for Habitat for Humanity. He has served as President of the Western New York chapter of The Entrepreneurs Organization and continues to serve on the board as Accelerator Chair. Mr Scahill is currently performing Cyber Intelligence, Security and Information Assurance work for an undisclosed organization.
Dr. William Carroll, Chairman
Dr. William Carroll is an Associate Professor in the Marketing department at St. John’s University Tobin College of Business. Dr. Carroll has a Ph.D. from the City University of New York - Baruch College. His research focuses on consumer behavior and behavioral decision theory. Dr. Carroll's work has been published in top academic journals including the Journal of Advertising, Marketing Letters, as well in books such as Psycholinguistic Phenomena in Marketing Communications. In addition to his research Dr. Carroll has taught Marketing at the executive, graduate and undergraduate level across three continents: US, Europe and Asia. Prior to pursuing his academic career, Dr. Carroll held various marketing positions at NOP Worldwide Marketing Research Company and Ralston Purina Company. Dr. Carroll earned his MS in Marketing Research from the University of Texas in Arlington, and his BA in Economics from the University of Rochester.
Ryan T. Logue, Director
Ryan T. Logue is an investment advisory representative Lincoln Investment, a position he has held since 2019. Prior to joining Lincoln Investment, he spent 16 years with Morgan Stanley in the private wealth management department. Mr. Logue has spent the majority of his career focused on investing in both public and private opportunities department. Mr. Logue graduated with a BA from Colgate University and an MBA from Columbia University and has previously served on the board of the Columbia Alumni Association of Fairfield County.

Mr. Gates is the founder and Managing Member of Blue Hill Advisory Partners LLC ("BHAP"), a strategic and financial advisory firm. Mr. Gates has more than 35 years of financial markets experience, including structuring, capital markets, new issue origination and risk management. Prior to BHAP, Mr. Gates was Head of Corporate Finance and Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets at Capital One, N.A. He also served on the firm's Investment Banking and Market Risk Committees which were responsible for the approval of all underwritten loan, debt and equity securities transactions. Prior to Capital One Mr. Gates served as a Managing Director and Head of North American Loan Syndicate for Royal Bank of Scotland. Before RBS he was a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank and Merrill Lynch Investment Bank, both in the Leveraged Finance Origination Group of each institution. In 1994 Mr. Gates joined Lehman Brothers Investment Bank as an inaugural member of the firm's Loan Syndicate Group spearheading the firm's originations effort. Mr. Gates started his career at a predecessor of JP Morgan, completing the firm's credit training program and eventually joining the Leverage Buyout Group and the Loan Syndications Group. He graduated with an MBA from Columbia University with a concentration in finance and an AB from Dartmouth College with a major in Engineering Sciences.
Jeff Toler, Advisor - Toler Law Group
Mr. Toler, founder of Toler Law Group, is a registered patent attorney with over 25 years’ experience in technology and related intellectual property matters representing corporate clients including many Fortune 500 companies and institutionally funded private companies. His expertise covers a wide range of areas including patent acquisition and monetization, patent brokering, patent litigation and inter partes reviews, patent preparation, prosecution and portfolio development, as well as intellectual property-related financings and other transactions. His practice fields include communications, computer hardware, software, storage, electronics and medical devices. Mr. Toler has significant experience in developing and implementing high-value patent strategies and brings creativity to the challenges of intellectual property monetization. Prior to founding Toler Law Group PC, Jeff led the intellectual property and technology transactions group for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Austin, Texas. His background also includes serving as general and intellectual property counsel for Motorola’s corporate strategy and wireless groups. Mr. Toler has a bachelor’s in electrical and computer engineering with highest distinction from Purdue University, a master’s in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a JD from the University of Chicago at Loyola School of Law where he was a senior law journal member, received the Loyola Merit Scholarship and earned the AmJur award for intellectual property, contracts, and law and economics.
Crystal Nicolson, Advisor - FL Capital Assets
Ms. Nicolson is the founder and Managing Member of FL Capital Assets LLC, a consulting and corporate strategy firm. Ms. Nicolson has over 15 years experience in the management consulting industry with significant expertise in business analysis, project management and process design across several Fortune 500 companies. She has an extensive track record helping businesses improve their performance and grow by leveraging cutting-edge technology and increased efficiency. Ms. Nicolson began her career at Deloitte Consulting, where she performed financial analysis for several banking and retail clients. She gained significant financial services experience at Lehman Brothers and CME Group and eventually became a Principal at North Highland Consulting in New York City, where she led several consulting projects across investment banks and retailers. Ms. Nicolson graduated from Cornell University with a concentration in finance.
Peter LaFauci, CFO Solutions
Peter LaFauci is president of CFO Solutions, a Rochester, NY based consulting firm offering knowledge-based financial and accounting solutions for emerging to medium-size companies. Mr. LaFauci is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of proven success in developing, leading, and executing strategy in both publicly and privately held companies within the advertising, software development, internet, manufacturing, and emerging technologies sectors. Peter possesses strong research and analytical skills as well as interpreting, summarizing, and communicating financial and business information to others. Mr. LaFauci is a graduate of Saint Bonaventure University.
